Apantac Launches Hybrid IP + Baseband Multiviewer at NAB 2015
Displays Mix of Both IP/ASI and SDI/CVBS Inputs on a Single Monitor
Apantac, provider of cost-effective multiviewers, video walls, extenders, and signal processing solutions is launching a new Hybrid Multiviewer supporting IP/ASI and SDI/CVBS to its award-winning TAHOMA Platform at NAB 2015, booth N6006.
The new TAHOMA-IL supports a mix of IP and baseband video signals and presents them on a single display for visual monitoring applications. IP/ASI support includes H.264, MPEG-2/4, and ASI. Video support includes 3G/HD/SD, as well as composite video formats. With the new Hybrid Multiviewer, facilities have the ability to mix and match up to 16 IP and SDI/CVBS images on a single display.
TAHOMA-IL offers high resolution HDMI/DVI outputs, and an optional SDI output for prestine visual monitoring. Output resolution up to 2048 x 1080P is supported.
Built-in CATx extenders (with optional active receivers) for each output extend the output up to 115 feet (35 meters). If longer distances are needed for the HDMI outputs, Apantac offers HDBaseT extenders for up to 330 feet, or fiber extenders for up to 1,500 feet.
The Apantac Skin Technology offers easy and advanced visual layout setup and on-screen display (OSD). The fully interactive, immersive and customizable on-screen display set-up via software includes: borders, labels, GPI/O, tally, visual and audio alarms, AFD & WSS, alarm monitoring, close captioning, safe area markers, audio meters, analog and digital clocks as well as room for logos. Video windows on the display include multiple labels, and support UMD, OMD, IMD and standalone labels.
Since this new Multiviewer is part of the TAHOMA Platform, control is supported by all existing TAHOMA control accessories, including: the CP-16 control panel, SSP simple present control, and a preset recall keypad.
“Our customers have been asking for us to bring this solution to market for years,“ comments Thomas Tang, President of Apantac. “Our new Hybrid IP + Baseband Multiviewer has been on our roadmap planning for some time, and it is finally here.”
The new TAHOMA-IL, Hybrid IP + SDI Multiviewer will be at Apantac’s NAB 2015 booth N6006.
